Open My Holiday Beauty Advent Calendar With Me

Beauty Advent

This is a post I have been waiting to write for months — literally! LookFantastic was nice enough to send me their beauty advent calendar in October. I’ve managed not to peek at the products even once, so I could open it right here with you. I absolutely love advent calendars. My family would get different Christmas countdowns every single year, but I’ve never had a beauty one before. Needless to say, I’m pretty excited to share the experience with you guys.

To be completely honest, I hadn’t heard of LookFantastic until this lovely box arrive on my doorstep. This was one heck of a way to find out though. Their beauty advent calendar is themed like a modern day Alice In Wonderland. If you know anything about me, you already know that was a major win.

The beauty advent calendar is set up similar to a jewelry box. There are four different drawers that become exposed after you open the double doors. The very top of the box opens as well, and there’s a mirror on the inside. Honestly, it’s extravagant and I love every single second of it.

Unfortunately, the beauty advent calendar is already sold out. Because, you know, it’s already December. The holiday countdown is priced at just over $100, but worth over $300. I still wanted to share the goodies with you in the spirit of Blogmas though!

Can we just talk about the first day’s beauty product? Because this was a heck of a way to start out. I was completely shocked when I opened and unwrapped this marbled Illamasqua Lava Lipstick. It honestly doesn’t get more gorgeous than this. If the rest of the days are just as gorgeous as this one, it’s going to be one heck of a holiday season.

Oddly enough, you can’t buy the marbled lipstick on the LookFantastic website. You can buy them for $22 on the brand’s website. They come in a variety of different colors and no two are alike.

Illamasqua is vegan and cruelty free, so you already know I’m obsessed. The marbled design brings the more beautiful tint to the lips too. The brand also just launched a unique holiday campaign called Human Up that focusses on the people wearing the makeup rather than the makeup itself. I’m so happy that I discovered this brand through the beauty advent calendar.

The design of the box gives an added layer of fun too. Each drawer has a ton of different numbered boxes inside. Instead of having them in numerical order, they’re all random. That means you have to search for he right box each day. Some people might find that annoying, but I really enjoy it!

The second day of the beauty advent calendar wasn’t as quirky, but brought a classic makeup bag staple. Everyone needs a great liner. The holiday surprise was the Chisel Liner High Definition Tip Eyeliner. It’s priced at $20 on the Sephora website. That makes just two days of goodies worth almost half the price of the box.

I haven’t gotten a chance to try out the liner yet. It does have a four-star rating on the Sephora website though. The product is also cruelty free and vegan, like the lipstick. I’m still in the process of perfecting my wing. Let’s just say that I can use all the practice I can get.

There you have it! The first two beauty products of the 25-day countdown is here. I’m going to unbox the rest of the items over on my Instagram. story. I’d love for you guys to follow along throughout the month.

Are there any beauty advent calendars that you’re participating in this year? I saw a lot of incredibly ones floating around. I’d love to hear which on you decided on!

If you missed yesterday’s post, I’ll also be wearing a dress every day in December. It’s all to raise awareness and funds to help end human trafficking. You can follow along with my wardrobe journey on my Instagram story page as well.
